Jacob Claveloux

Jacob S. Claveloux is an Associate of the firm. He is involved in all aspects of the firm’s practice areas, including its litigation, transactional and advisory work in the firm’s education, employment, labor, and not-for-profit corporation law practices. Mr. Claveloux works with the firm’s partners providing general counsel to institutional clients (K-12 schools, colleges, non-profit entities) and in litigation matters, including the courts and administrative agencies.

While in law school, Mr. Claveloux served as the Editor-in-Chief of the “Hofstra Labor and Employment Law Journal”, where he also published a note, Eastern Enterprises As The Canary In The Coalmine: Will The Supreme Court Hamper The Gulf Workforce By Continuing To Confuse The Constitutionality Of Retroactive Liability Provisions?, co-authored with Jon Stockman.  Mr. Claveloux also received an award for excellence in Intellectual Property Law and was the President of the Hofstra Intellectual Property Law Association while in law school.  Prior to entering legal practice, Mr. Claveloux worked as a music journalist and managed non-profit agencies.

Mr. Claveloux earned his J.D. from the Hofstra University School of Law, and his undergraduate degree from William Paterson University. He is admitted to practice law in the Courts of New York State, the Courts of the State of New Jersey, and in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, with admission pending in the Southern District of New York. He is also a member of state and local bar associations.
